Bridgetown celebrates Canada Day

BRIDGETOWN, NS – There was no shortage of fun things to do in Bridgetown on Canada Day. It started with the Lions Club’s pancake breakfast and ended with fireworks. In between there was lots of fun, food, and entertainment.

Annapolis MLA and Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil spoke to a growing crowd just before the official cake-cutting, as did West Nova MP Colin Fraser, and Annapolis County Warden Timothy Habinski.

Those in attendance at Jubilee Park were treated to cake, fruit trays, and the local recreation association held a fundraising barbecue.

When dusk came, all attention turned to the sky as Bridgetown firefighters launch their famous fireworks across the Annapolis River from the park.
