Annapolis Royal Legion honours long-serving members

ANNAPOLIS ROYAL - Four long-time members of the Royal Canadian Legion were presented with life memberships recently at a ceremony at Port Royal Legion Branch 21 in Annapolis Royal.

And one of those members, Korean War veteran Ernest ‘Junior’ Saulnier, was presented with his 50-year medal as well.

The presentation took place on April 9, the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge with Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil and Legion president Brad Bent presenting the memberships, certificates, and medal.

Constance Bohaker, Perry Butler, and Wallace Maloney were the others who received life memberships for outstanding service to the Royal Canadian Legion.
