This photo of 2008-09 Div. III Provinical Hockey Champions, the BRHS Trojans, was submitted this morning. The Spectator will post more details about the game following an interview with Head Coach Paul Burke.
Bridgetown's Senior Boys defeated hometown favorites NDA Acadiens by a score of 4-3, deflating the hopes of a crowd of 1000 hometown fans.
Geoff 'G' Burke scored two goals to lead the Trojans. Gareth Rafuse and captain Dennis Frost each netted one to round out Bridgetown scoring.
Several core members (including Burke and Frost) of this team were also part of BRHS's champion soccer team which 'threepeated' last fall, winning its third straight Div. III provincial title.
This hockey win therefore brings home yet another banner for a Bridgetown senior boys dynasty that has dominated in multiple sports in recent years, another proud chapter in a long history of athletic excellence at Bridgetown Regional High.
