Getting into the swing of fitness
Kettlebells, a full-body workout that's easy on the joints and works all muscles is becoming a popular fitness routine for top athletes and ordinary folk -- partly because it can be tailored to any age, current fitness level, and gender.
Shawn and Alison Ross of Wilmot are certified instructors and hold classes at Fitness Experience in Middleton Sundays and Thursdays. They also teach kettlebells in Berwick and will soon start classes in New Minas.
The fitness routine is for anybody and helps improve mobility and agility -- for somebody wanting to be able to lift a load of laundry from the washer, get down on the floor and play with the kids, to high-performance athletes.
