Police wish to advise the public that in recent days a young woman has been canvassing the area on the pretense of raising money for the Cancer Society and the IWK. While the matter remains under investigation, police remind the public that charities provide identification for their canvassers.
If anyone is suspicious of someone claiming to represent a charity, it’s advised to contact the charity and confirm its representatives are canvassing in the area.
