As of supper time Saturday, Annapolis County hadn't received the amount of snow forecast in the days leading up to this weekend's nor-easter, but the wind did blow and what snow there was drifted and blew, causing whiteout conditions and keeping many drivers off the roads.
Early Saturday morning power was lost in the Granville Ferry and Victoria Beach areas, affecting almost 600 customers. Some homes had the power back by about noon.
Most people out and about were involved in clearing away snow.
