Parker’s Cove twins killed in October crash on Shore Road West


A 48-year-old Youngs Cove man has been charged by Annapolis RCMP with two counts of Impaired Driving Causing Death following a collision in October that killed two men from Parker’s Cove.

On October 27, 2012, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Annapolis County RCMP responded to a double fatal collision on Shore Road West in Youngs Cove. The collision involved a Chevrolet Silverado truck and a Volkswagen car. The two occupants of the car, twins 72-year-old Morris Longmire and 72-year-old Paul Longmire, died in the collision.

Keith Bent has been charged with two counts of Impaired Driving Causing Death, two counts of Criminal Negligence Causing Death, as well as Impaired Driving charges. Bent's next court appearance is scheduled for March 5 in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court.
