Middleton man faces attempted murder charge

A 20-year-old Middleton man is in custody facing attempted murder charges after another man was stabbed on the weekend.

Nicholas Lightfoot was charged with attempted murder when he appeared in Annapolis Royal provincial court Tuesday. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear back in court on December 19.

Annapolis RCMP, assisted by the Annapolis Street Crime Enforcement Unit, continue with their investigation of the assault that took place in Middleton late Sunday afternoon on December 9.
