Several hundred local residents packed the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 122 in Clementsport November 11 to honour and pay tribute to those who dies in the defense of Canadian freedom and democracy.

Following the march of ther colour p[arty and the singing of O Canada, those assembled were called to worship. Following a prayer of invocation, those gathered for the Remembrance Day service sang ‘O God Our Help in Ages Past.’

‘In Flanders Fields’ preceded the Reading of the Honour Roll followed by the ‘Last Post’ and two minutes of silence.

The laying of wreaths took place after Psalm 121. The branch chaplain gave a brief address saying that sacrifice is something that must be passed on. The service concluded with the hymn ’Faith of Our Fathers,’ the benediction, and singing of ‘God Save the Queen.’
