Thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds possible

Severe thunderstorm watch for Annapolis County issued:

 

Thunderstorms expected later this afternoon and this evening.

 

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

 

Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements. If threatening weather approaches take immediate safety precautions.

 

Thunderstorms are expected to form over portions of Southwestern Nova Scotia this afternoon. The main threat from these storms if they become severe would be very heavy downpours of rain. There is also the possibility of strong wind gusts and hail.
