Police were called to the Tim Hortons coffee shop in Bridgetown on August 10, after a woman refused to leave the drive-thru. At 11:30 a.m. a patrol was dispatched and the woman told the officer that she is refusing to move because she’s unhappy with the service she was given. She has been banned from this location.

The Annapolis RCMP received 122 calls during the week of August 6 through 13. Among these were: two false alarms, eight false 911s, five domestic assaults, and two traffic accidents. Following are some of these calls:

-- August 6 at 4:22 a.m. Nictuax. Police were called to investigate a possible arson after two trailers were set on fire. The trailers had been for sale and were parked off Nictaux Road.

-- August 6 at 5:58 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported parked in Middleton. 

-- August 6 at 9:28 a.m. Deep Brook. A break and enter into a shed was reported. It’s not known if anything was stolen.

-- August 6 at 9:41 a.m. Springfield. A breach of peace was reported.

-- August 6 at 9:51 p.m. Middleton. A possible impaired driver was reported seen. A patrol was made but failed to located the driver.

-- August 7 at 12:43 a.m. Bear River. A complaint of harassment via text messaging was reported.

-- August 7 at 12:47 a.m. Wilmot. A suspicious vehicle was reported seen at Frenchys in Wilmot.

-- August 7 at 9:27 a.m. Deep Brook. A break and enter was reported at a garage. A chainsaw, barbecue tank, and a set of golf clubs were reported stolen.

-- August 7 at 10:21 a.m. West Dalhousie. Police were called to a single-vehicle accident in West Dalhousie after a vehicle went off the road.

-- August 7 at 12:28 p.m. Middleton. A number of tickets were issued for parking violations.

-- August 7 at 2:05 p.m. Spa Springs. A dirt bike was reported stolen.

-- August 7 at 3:47 p.m. Bridgetown. A surveyor’s stake was reported stolen and found to have been moved.

-- August 7 at 5:06 p.m. Granville Ferry. A caller complained about dangerous drivers and squealing tires at night.

-- August 7 at 7:19 p.m. Karsdale. A complaint of mischief was reported after someone was cutting trees along a property line.

-- August 7 at 9:08 p.m. Beaconsfield. Harassing phone calls were reported.

-- August 7 at 10:22 p.m. Threats were reported in Middleton.

-- August 7 at 11:24 p.m. Wilmot. A possible impaired driver was reported.

-- August 8 at 3:15 a.m. Highway 10, New Albany. Police were called to a traffic accident after a vehicle went in the ditch to avoid a deer.

-- August 8 10:20 a.m. Spa Springs. A cow was reported on the road.

-- August 8 at 10:52 a.m. Middleton. Minor damage was reported to a vehicle.

-- August 8 at 1:41 a.m. Bridgetown East. An abandoned vehicle was reported.

-- August 8 at 2 p.m. Granville Ferry. An abandoned vehicle was reported at a public works property. The vehicle was removed.

-- August 8 at 2:34 p.m. Brickton. A caller reported that a small dog was left shut in a vehicle on an extremely hot day. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival. No plate number was reported.

-- August 8 at 3:54 p.m. Bridgetown. A caller reported a dog barking throughout the night.

-- August 8 at 4:35 p.m. Bridgetown. A member stopped a vehicle with expired license plates.

-- August 8 at 8:50 p.m. Bridgetown. A suspicious person was reported in Bridgetown after someone was seen gathering up sticks. The individual was cleaning up the yard and putting dry wood in a burn pit.

-- August 8 at 9:32 p.m. Inglisville. A suspicious person was reported in Inglisville after a vehicle was seen parked and a man appeared to be sick at the side of the road. A patrol was made, but failed to locate.

-- August 8 at 9:38 p.m. Middleton. Police were called to a disturbance in a Middleton parking lot.

-- August 8 at 10:31 p.m. Middleton. A complaint of mischief was reported at a Middleton business after a window was smashed.

-- August 8 at 11:41 p.m. A suspicious person complaint was reported after three men are seen around a property. A patrol was made and determined the individuals were there on a legitimate matter.

-- August 8 at 9:36 p.m. Middleton. An insecure premise was reported in Middleton. Police contacted the owner.

-- August 9 at 9:14 a.m. Bridgetown. Harassing phone calls were reported in Bridgetown.

-- August 9 at 10:40 a.m. Nictaux. A traffic hazard was reported after vehicles were parked along the road near a business.

-- August 9 at 12:32 p.m. Karsdale. A complaint of mischief was reported in Karsdale after a window was broken.

-- August 9 at 2:43 p.m. Middleton. A break and enter into a vehicle was reported. A wallet and ID were stolen.

-- August 9 at 4:39 p.m. Lequille. A driver was stopped and tried to flee police on foot. The individual was caught and found to be in possession of cocaine.

-- August 9 at 8:24 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police were called to a vehicle fire in Lawrencetown. The engine was smoldering and police extinguished the fire and saved the vehicle.

-- August 9 at 9:51 p.m. Nictaux. Threats were reported in Nictaux. Police are following up and suspect drugs are involved in the incident.

-- August 10 at 9:20 a.m. Wilmot. Police were called to a minor two-vehicle accident.

-- August 10 at 2:26 p.m. Virginia Road. Two kayaks were reported stolen from a campground.

-- August 10 at 4:23 p.m. Cornwallis. A suspicious person was reported in Cornwallis.

-- August 10 at 7:32 p.m. Nictaux. Threats via text messaging were reported.

-- August 10 at 7:52 p.m. Paradise. An abandoned vehicle was reported in Paradise.

-- August 11 at 3:59 a.m. Middleton. A caller reported an unknown (possibly intoxicated) male banging on doors trying to access apartments. The man was gone upon police arrival.

-- August 11 at 10:43 a.m. Round Hill. Threats were reported between parties.

-- August 11 at 11:09 a.m. Springfield. A dangerous driver was reported in Springfield.

-- August 11 at 11:49 a.m. Springfield. A phone scam was reported in Springfield after a caller asked for personal information.

-- August 11 at 1:19 p.m. An erratic driver was reported in Granville Ferry. The driver was eventually intercepted in Kingston.

-- August 11 at 1:21 p.m. Fraud was reported at Kejimkujik Park after a person tried to use a credit card that had been marked as stolen.

-- August 11 at 4:16 p.m. West Dalhousie. A cellphone was reported stolen in West Dalhousie.

-- August 11 at 10:51 p.m. Paradise. A suspicious person was reported in Paradise.

-- August 12 at 11:54 a.m. South Williamston. Shots are heard and reported in South Williamston. The Department of Natural resources was advised.

-- August 12 at 7:58 p.m. Nictaux. An erratic driver was reported.

-- August 12 at 10:27 p.m. Middleton. A person was reported to be transporting a rifle in an unsafe manner.

    Oh my. This article left me speechless. It seems that people don't have a whole lot to do and should consider picking up a hobbie which doesn't include calling the Police & or 911. Seriously.
