Annapolis RCMP responded to 104 calls for assistance during the week of Monday, June 18 to Monday, June 25. Traffic matters dominated the week with a rollover crash on Highway 101, a car on fire in a ditch, and one vehicle that was hit by a deer. There were also a couple of cows on the loose, a canoe and a tent trailer stolen, and a 24-foot plastic culvert disappeared. One property owner doing renovations dug up a tombstone from 1819.

Among the week's work were six false 991 calls, one false alarms, 25 traffic matters, and 10 domestic situations.

Following are a few of those calls:

-- June 18, 12:10 p.m., Highway 101 Clementsvale. Police received a report of a collision involving a deer. The deer was killed and the vehicle was damaged.

-- June 18, 2:10 p.m., Torbrook. Police received a report of the theft of a Stihl chainsaw which was stolen from a yard.

-- June 18, 10:30 a.m., Middleton. RCMP received a call about the theft of three bicycles overnight. All three bikes were later located in the neighbourhood.

-- June 18, 4:59 p.m., Melvern Square. A property owner doing renovations unearthed a tombstone that dated back to 1819. Such matters fall under the direction of the provincial minister of Heritage and Culture.

-- June 18, 7:48 p.m., Deep Brook. RCMP received a report of a telephone scam. The caller indicated a trip had been won but the recipient had to pay money in order to take the trip.

-- June 18, 10:14 p.m., Moschelle. A caller reported harassment involving text messages.

-- June 19, 8:56 a.m., Middleton. Police received a report of a driver texting while driving. The vehicle description was obtained and the investigation continues.

-- June 19, 3:14 p.m., Maitland Bridge. RCMP received a report of the theft of a canoe. The canoe is Great Canadian, green with white seats.

-- June 19, 4:37 p.m., Middleton. Police received report of a theft of a Rockwood tent trailer from a Middleton business.

-- June 19, 10:53 p.m., Bridgetown. RCMP received a report of loud music. A patrol was made and the matter was resolved.

-- June 20, 1:29 a.m., Bear River. Police and the Bear River Fire Department attended the scene of a structure fire. A small barn was totally destroyed.

-- June 20, 5:33 a.m., Inglisville. Police received a report of a single-vehicle accident. The driver attempted to avoid an animal on the road and went into the ditch.

-- June 20, 8:57 a.m., Highway 101 Middleton. Police received a report of two cows on the road. The cows were later returned to the farm.

-- June 20, 9:21 p.m., Keji. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. A patrol was made and the vehicle was located inside the park. There was insufficient evidence for impairment.

-- June 20, 10:19 p.m., Lawrencetown. Police received a report of property damage involving a planter box and a chicken coup.

-- June 21, 2:04 a.m., Middleton. Police received a call about trespassers at the town swimming pool. A patrol was made and the individuals were located and issued warnings about their activities.

-- June 21, 12:15 p.m., Highway 1 Wilmot. Police received a report of a traffic hassard involving a person walking a bicycle in the middle of the road. Police attended and located the individual and issued a warning under the Motor Vehicle Act.

-- June 21, 3:47 p.m., Meadowvale. Police assisted Kingston Volunteer Fire department with traffic control after firefighters responded to a garage fire.

-- June 21, 4:34 p.m., Delaps Cove. Police received a report of the theft of five survival suits from a boat.

-- June 21, 5:03 p.m., Middleton. A disturbance call resulted in the police going to an apartment block. A male offender was identified and found to be in violation of court conditions. Charges are pending.

-- June 21, 9:35 p.m., Wilmot. Police received a report of two suspicious vehicles in a parking lot. A patrol was made but the vehicles were not located.

-- June 22, 4"05 p.m., Bridgetown. A police traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver. Charges are pending for prohibited driving and other offenses. The vehicle was impounded.

-- June 22, 4:09 p.m., Middleton. A disturbance call resulted in the arrest of a male offender. Assault charges are pending. He was released pending a court appearance.

-- June 22, 7:26 p.m., Princedale. Police responded to the theft of a black plastic 24-foot driveway culvert.

-- June 22, 11:14 p.m., Granville Ferry. Police received a report of a possible fraud scam involving an ad on Kijiji.

-- June 23, 1:17 a.m., Middleton. A police traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a driver for impaired. The driver failed the breath test, was lodged in cells, and released the next day pending a court appearance.

-- June 23, 3:55 a.m., Wilmot. Police responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in a ditch. Police and firefighters attended. The driver was arrested for impaired driving. He failed the breath test and was later released pending a court appearance.

-- June 23, 5:29 p.m., Highway 101 Paradise. Police, EHS, and Bridgetown firefighters attended the scene of single-vehicle rollover. The driver and occupants were taken to hospital for observation. Heavy rains at the time may have contributed to the accident.

-- June 24, 2:41 p.m., South Williamston. Police received a report of the theft of a powersaw from a garage.
