Car smashes into ditch on Brooklyn Road

A Brickton man was airlifted to hospital in Halifax with life-threatening injuries after a single-car crash in Brooklyn Saturday evening.

Members of the Annapolis County District RCMP responded to crash on June 16 at 7:48 p.m. The driver and lone occupant of the Pontiac G5 coupe was travelling on Brooklyn Road when the car left the road and crashed into the ditch.

The driver, a 23-year-old male from Brickton, was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported to the Middleton Soldiers Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to hospital in Halifax with life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP collision analyst from Annapolis Valley Traffic Services was at the crash scene to assist with the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
