RCMP have charged a Springfield man with numerous drug offences after an investigation into drug trafficking in Annapolis County, police said today.
RCMP have charged 25-year-old Luke Edwin Parker with the following offences in connection with an Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation: Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Diazepam for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unlawful Production of Marihuana, Operating a Motor Vehicle in a manner that was Dangerous to the Public, and three counts of Failing to Comply with a Recognizance.
At approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, Parker was arrested after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Highway 10 in Springfield. There were three passengers in the vehicle who were arrested and released without charges.
The The RCMP’s South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, assisted by Lunenburg District RCMP, Bridgewater Police Service General Investigation Section, and South Shore CISNS executed a warrant at his residence in Springfield and discovered an indoor marihauna grow operation. A quantity of marihuana and other drug related paraphernalia were seized.
The investigation is continuing.
