Annapolis RCMP Crime Report

The Annapolis RCMP received 105 calls from May 21 through May 28. Among these were: five false 911s and three motor vehicle accidents. There were no false alarms, or domestic assaults reported last week.

Following are a few of these calls:

--May 21 at 1:06 a.m. Highway 201 Nictaux. A resident reported a trespasser after hearing noises outside. A patrol was made, but no one was located.

--May 21 at 2:30 a.m. Middleton. A noise complaint was made in regards to a noisy party.

--May 21 at 9 a.m. Granville Ferry. Speeding vehicles were reported.

--May 21 at 10:39 a.m. A dog was struck by a vehicle in Mount Hanley.

--May 21 at 11:42 a.m. Lequille. A suspicious incident was reported after a homeowner found a hunting-style arrow in the backyard.

--May 21 at 12:38 p.m. A complaint of harassment was reported.

--May 21 at 3:40 p.m. A mailbox was reported damaged.

--May 21 at 4:02 p.m. Middleton. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident in Middleton after one vehicle rear-ended another.

--May 21 at 4:06 p.m. Lawrencetown. A complaint of mischief was reported after a driver was seen dumping oil on the road and doing brake turns.

--May 22 at 3:18 p.m. Bridgetown. An assault was reported in Bridgetown after an altercation between an adult and youth.

--May 22 at 3:25 p.m. Granville Ferry. A suspicious vehicle was reported.

--May 22 at 5:22 p.m. Wilmot. An erratic driver was reported in Wilmot. A patrol was made and intercepted the vehicle. A warning was issued.

--May 22 at 7:23 p.m. Granville Ferry. A break and enter was reported in Granville Ferry. A rifle was stolen.

--May 22 at 7:47 p.m. Middleton. A caller reported dogs barking.

--May 22 at 8:51 p.m. Lequille. Threats were reported. The issue was resolved.

--May 22 at 9:39 p.m. Upper Granville. A suspicious vehicle was reported in Upper Granville.

--May 22 at 10:46 p.m. Victoria Beach. Police were called to help settle a property dispute.

--May 23 at 1:16 a.m. Middleton. A disturbance was reported in Middleton. A patrol was made and peace was restored.

--May 23 at 7:44 a.m. Wilmot. A motorist was reported for failing to stop at a red light.

--May 23 at 11:56 a.m. Bridgetown. A caller complained that youth were loitering, littering, and interfering with traffic.

--May 23 at 12:08 p.m. Middleton. A jacket was found, turned in, and the owner later located.

--May 23 at 12:14 p.m. Middleton. Heavy trucks were reported for not complying with town regulations.

--May 23 at 1:01 p.m. Middleton. An abandoned vehicle was reported.

--May 23 at 1:51 p.m. Moschelle. Police were called to a two-vehicle accident after one vehicle swerved to avoid another and hit a third in the oncoming lane.

--May 23 at 3 p.m. Middleton. A set of car keys was reported missing.

--May 23 at 4:29 p.m. Moschelle. A complaint of fraud was reported after a number of cheques were stolen. A person was arrested and scheduled to appear in court.

--May 23 at 4:54 p.m. Lawrencetown. A possible impaired driver was reported.

--May 23 at 5:09 p.m. Lawrencetown. A bicycle was found under the bridge.

--May 23 at 9:14 p.m. Middleton. A complaint of mischief was reported in  Middleton.

--May 24 at 9 a.m. Paradise. A wallet was reported lost in Paradise.

--May 24 at 9:44 a.m. Middleton. Police received a report of an unsecured child in a vehicle. The driver was intercepted and was charged with several infractions.

--May 24 at 10:48 a.m. Wilmot. Motorcycle drivers were reported for not wearing helmets.

--May 24 at 10:57 a.m. Inglisville. A suspicious vehicle was reported.

--May 24 at 8:40 a.m. Middleton. The Department of Transportation reported a driver for failing to obey a flagman at a construction site.

--May 24 at 2:24 p.m. Cornwallis. A bicycle was found.

--May 24 at noon. Middleton. Threats were reported. The matter is under investigation.

--May 24 at 2:46 p.m. Bridgetown. Littering was reported.

--May 24 at 7:42 p.m. Bridgetown. Youth were reportedly causing a nuisance.

--May 24 at 11:10 p.m. Middleton. A loud party was reported.

--May 24 at 11:54 p.m. Middleton. A loud party was reported in Middleton.

--May 25 at 9:27 a.m. Margaretstville. A complaint of mischief was reported after the wharf, rocks, and an old smoke shop were sprayed with graffiti.

--May 25 at 12:08 p.m. Moshers Corner. A complaint of trespassing was reported.

--May 25 at 1:35 p.m. Wilmot. A suspicious person was reported at a residence. A patrol was made and determined the individual was there on legitimate business.

--May 25 at 2:55 p.m. Middleton. A driver was reported for doing doughnuts in Rotary Park.

--May 25 at 2:59 p.m. 101 Highway, near Lawrencetown. A diver was reported for texting while driving.

--May 25 at 5 p.m. Carlton Corner. A complaint of mischief was reported after someone left a firecracker in a mailbox.

--May 25 at 5:38 p.m. Bridgetown.  A complaint was made after a pedestrian was nearly hit by a cyclist who was driving on the sidewalk.

--May 25 at 6:59 p.m. Mount Hanley. An animal complaint was reported.

--May 25 at 7:33 p.m. Wilmot. A possible impaired driver was reported. A patrol was made but the vehicle was not located.

--May 25 at 7:57 p.m. Bear River. A bear was reported seen in a backyard.

--May 25 at 8:03 p.m. Bridgetown. A caller reported a group of youth drinking.

--May 25 at 8:35 p.m. Wilmot. Found documents were turned in and returned to the owner.

--May 25 at 9:19 p.m. Wilmot. A break and enter was reported and a laptop was stolen from a residence.

--May 25 at 10:59 p.m. Dalhousie. A suspicious light was reported.

--May 26 at 12:57 a.m. Bridgetown. A complaint of mischief was reported after fireworks were discharged.

--May 26 at 3:07 a.m. Nictaux. A complaint of mischief was reported after fireworks were discharged.

--May 26 at 5:58 p.m. Moshers Corner. Horses were reported to be running loose on the road.

--May 26 at 7:05 p.m. Karsdale. A driver was reported for driving erratically and yelling obscenities.

--May 26 at 7:29 p.m. Moshers Corner. Horses were reported to be running loose on the highway.

--May 27 at 1:26 a.m. Middleton. Threats sent via text-messaging were reported.

--May 27 at 6:32 a.m. West Dalhousie. A missing person report was made. The individual was later located.

--May 27 at 6:39 a.m. Bear River. A lost briefcase was turned in and returned to the owner.

--May 27 at 9:49 a.m. Bear River. Prowlers were reported after a resident found a flashlight and fireworks.

--May 27 at 11:37 a.m. Bear River. A shotgun was reported stolen from a vehicle.

--May 27 at 2:38 p.m. A purse, cell phone, and camera were stolen from a vehicle parked at the front entrance of the hospital in Middleton. The camera, in a blue ROOTS case, is a silver Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3 with serial number EM6BA37277 R. The cell phone is a black Samsung flip phone. The wallet is black with two zipper compartments. --May 27 at 7:25 p.m. Margaretsville. A caller reported people drinking and playing loud music on the beach.
