Police and ambulance were on the scene of a truck crash on Highway 101 west of Bridgetown at about 6 p.m. Thursday.

18-wheeler crashes west of Bridgetown

The driver of an Armour 18-wheeler that went of Highway 101 just west of Bridgetown Thursday at suppertime died at the scene. RCMP said the driver suffered from a medical condition, and despite efforts of paramedics was unable to be revived. RCMP, EHS, Bridgetown firefighters, the Department of Transportation, and Vehicle Compliance responded to the crash. Traffic was slowed on the highway but not closed. The vehicle remained upright and did not appear to be seriously damaged. The accident happened on a straight section of road.
