Police were called to investigate a break and enter at the Lawrencetown Consolidated School after an alarm sounded shortly after 1 a.m. on January 14. Police located the point of entry and called in a forensic team from Kentville. Nothing appears to have been taken and the matter is under investigation.

This was a quiet week for Annapolis police with only 65 calls for assistance. Among these were four false 911s, four motor vehicle accidents, and two domestic calls. There were no false alarms this week. Following are highlights from the week of January 9 to 15:

-- January 9 at 11:12 a.m. Middleton. A complaint of mischief was reported after someone threw green paint over a sign.

-- January 9 at 11:58 a.m. Middleton. Police were called to a disturbance in Middleton after a fight broke out at a public place. A patrol was made but the parties were gone upon arrival.

-- January 9 at 2:45 p.m. Middleton. Police were called to Middleton in response to a report of an intoxicated man on the street. Police took the individual home.

-- January 10 at 10:19 a.m. Bridgetown. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident on the 101 Highway near Bridgetown. No injuries were reported and slippery conditions were deemed a factor.

-- January10 at 11:23 a.m. Allains Creek. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident at Allains Creek. The vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.

-- January 10 at 11:50 a.m. Bridgetown. An unlicensed ATV was seen driving on the sports fields at Bridgetown Regional High School. Charges were laid.

-- January 10 at 6:32 p.m. Middleton. An assault was reported in Middleton.

-- January 10 at 8 p.m. Wilmot. Police were called to a single-vehicle accident in Wilmot. No injuries were reported.

-- January 11 at 9:42 a.m. Granville Ferry. An outdoor cat was reported missing and seen at the neighbour’s. The neighbour refused to return the cat. The matter is under investigation.

-- January 11 at 12:17 p.m. Bridgetown. Vehicles were reported to be speeding in Bridgetown.

-- January 11 at 6:24 pm. Police were called to a single-vehicle accident after a vehicle went off the road and hit a power line. No injuries were reported. Nova Scotia Power was called to the scene.

-- January 11 at 6:44 p.m. Middleton. A possible impaired driver was reported seen in Middleton. A patrol was made, but failed to intercept.

-- January 11 at 10:19 p.m. Meadowvale. Threats were reported. The mater is under investigation and charges are pending.

-- January 11 at 11:26 p.m. Mount Hanley. A suspicious person was reported after dogs started barking. A patrol was made, but didn’t find anyone suspicious.

-- January11 at 7:46 p.m. Princedale. Threats were reported.

-- January 12 at 4:41 a.m. Middleton. A suspicious person was reported seen parked on the road. A patrol was made but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

 -- January 12 at 1:54 p.m. Paradise. A suspicious person was reported in Paradise after footprints were seen around a home. No one has been identified.

-- January 12 at 8:05 p.m. Nictaux. A complaint of mischief was reported in Nictaux as a result of an ongoing dispute.

-- January 13 at 7:02 a.m. A complaint of property damage was reported after someone drove into a tree and uprooted it.

-- January 13 at 1:40 p.m. Nictaux. Police were requested to assist another police department in delivering a summons in Nictaux.

-- January 13 at 1:43 p.m. Granville Ferry. Suspicious activity was reported in Granville Ferry after footprints were seen around a vacant home.

-- January 13 at 2:10 p.m. Nictaux. Police were asked to perform a wellbeing check on a resident in Nictaux.

-- January 13 at 6:11 p.m. Granville Ferry. Police received a report of an unlicensed driver operating an unregistered vehicle.

-- January 13 at 9:25 p.m. Police were called to assist Annapolis Royal police.

-- January 14 at 1:05 am. Lawrencetown. Police were called to investigate a break and enter in Lawrencetown.

 -- January 14 at 8:49 a.m. Bridgetown. A complaint of property damage was reported in Bridgetown after a vehicle went off the road and damaged a lawn.

-- January 14 at 8:50 a.m. Granville Beach. Threats were reported at Granville Beach.

-- January 14 at 2:13 p.m. Middleton. Police were called to help an intoxicated man who needed medical attention. EHS assisted. The subject was taken to hospital.

-- January 14 at 10:55 p.m. Meadowvale.  Threats were reported.

-- January 15 at 1:26 a.m. Middleton. Police were called to a disturbance in Middleton. An intoxicated male was arrested and lodged in cells overnight.

-- January 15 at 8:19 a.m. Bridgetown. Police were asked to perform a wellbeing check in Bridgetown.

-- January 15 at 11:48 a.m. Lawrencetown. A suspicious vehicle was seen in Lawrencetown.

-- January 15 at 4:07 p.m. Clementsport. Police were called to investigate a break and enter at a Clementsport shed. Tools were stolen.

-- January 15 at 8:40 p.m. Wilmot. A 26-year-old male was reported missing in Wilmot after he failed to show up at his destination. Police are making inquiries.

-- January 15 at 8:51 p.m. Police were asked to assist an expectant family on route to the hospital.
