118th edition of Bear River festival held Saturday

Bear River

Hundreds turned out for the 118th edition of the Bear River Cherry Carnival Saturday, taking in parades, trying their luck at the greased pole, and honing their skills at the woodsmen’s competitions. There were canoe races, lots of games for the kids, and food from the canteen, vendors, and a supper at the fire hall. Of course the main attraction of every Cherry Carnival is the fire works display that went off without a hitch Saturday at 10 p.m.
