It’s all about walking this weekend in Annapolis Royal as participants lace up their sneakers, grab the bug spray, and set off on a three-day adventure that will take them down trails, over hills, through spooky graveyards, and even to the farmers market.
Walk Annapolis Royal Weekend kicks off Friday, June 12 with the launch of the new waterfront trail at 11 a.m. and winds up with a candlelight graveyard tour at 9:30 p.m. at Fort Anne.

Weekend-long Activities
As part of Walk Annapolis Royal Weekend, several events will tak place over the three days including the Walk-the-Town Challenge. Participants can walk all the Walk Annapolis Royal Bruchure trails between June 12 and 14 and win a prize.
Pedometer Trials allow people to pick up pedometers at Cozy Internet Café so they can ‘track their tracks.’
The Geocache Challenge will have people trying to locate all the designated caches in Annapolis Royal. Information and registration is at the Cozy Internet Café.
Historic Gardens is offering two-for-one admission so people can walk the grounds which includes 2.4 kilometres of trails. They do ask that you stop and smell the roses.
Annapolis Royal Golf Club is doing a two-for-one green fees deal and encourage golfers walk, or as they say, “go green on the greens this weekend.”
And of course Fort Anne offers has a self guided bruchure -- Stroll Through the Centuries -- from which participants can learn the story of the unique historic buildings.
