Free Skating

February Free skating every Sunday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Middleton Arena for ages 18 and under, ($4 for adults). Info: Brooke @ 824-1069.

 

Computer Tutorials

Free one-on-one computer tutorials every Friday until the end of March at the Bridgetown Library. The topic is up to you, maybe downloading e-Books or audio books. Call during open hours at (902) 665-2758.

 

Skate Park Meetings

Want a Skate Park in Middleton? Come out to the committee meetings the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the MRHS library. And bring everyone you know. Info: Brooke @ 824-1069.

 

Citrus Orders

Jam Sessions

Wednesdays Come out to Brickton Jam Sessions every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Great Country & Bluegrass music. Come to play, sing, or listen. Refreshments at intermission. All for only $ 2 each.

 

Public Skate

At the Middleton and District Arena on Fridays, 7 to 8 p.m. and Sundays, 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Adult Skate is on Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m.. Call 825-3583 to confirm. Cost: Youth $2; Adult $4; Family $10.

 

Music Therapy

Until March 5 For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, presented by Annapolis Valley Chapter of Autism N.S. Facilitated by Brenda Johnson of Sound Connections. Takes place at Kingston Elementary School every Tuesday. Group 1 for ages 4 to 11 meet 4 to 5 p.m. Group 2 for ages 12 to 21 meet 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is free. After School LEGO

Yoga

CAPS Meeting

February 27 The monthly meeting of the board of Companion Animal Protection Society of Annapolis County will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building in Lawrencetown. Jigg’s Dinner

February 28 A corned beef dinner with all the fixings, including dessert, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. at the Middleton Fire Hall. Adults $15; children under 12 $8. Sponsored by St. Joseph's Guild, Parish of Wilmot.

World Day of Prayer

March 1 World Day of Prayer service to be held in St. Luke's Church, Annapolis Royal on Friday, March 1 at 2 p.m.  This is an Ecumenical Service prepared by the women of France.  Guest speaker: Pat Dill.  Free will offering.  Please wear a bright colourful scarf if you have one. All welcome.

Autism Fundraiser

March 1 The West Kings Twirlers are holding a ticket auction with proceeds to the Autism Relay. Held at Melvern Square Hall. Ticket auction from 6:30 to 8 p.m. At 8 p.m. the Twirlers will perform some square dances and draw for auction items in between.  

 

Big Breakfast

March 2 At the Middleton Curling Club, 6 King St., Middleton, 8 to 10:30 a.m., for a free will offering. Enjoy bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, baked beans, pancakes, and toast. All proceeds to the Club.

TimBit Jamboree

March 2 Middleton IP Tim Bit Jamboree at the Middleton Arena on March 2, with 12 teams of 4 & 5 year olds. Games start from 8:15 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Sponsored by local Tim Hortons and the continued support of Debbie and Fred Faulkner.

 

Ticket Auction

March 2 Middleton Fireflies Ticket Auction Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Middleton Fire Hall. There will be lots of great items and gift certificates from local businesses and individuals as well as special draws for a giant gift basket, a locally handcrafted wooden shelf, a yummy home-made cake just in time for Easter, and a 50/50 draw. Canteen services will be available, so why not plan to join us for a few hours to help raise funds for the new Community Centre/Fire Hall?

 

St. Patrick’s Dance

March 2 Valley Pride is hosting a "St Patrick's Day" Dance on March 2 at 8921 Highway 10 Nictaux at the Middleton Lions Club from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission is $5 at the door. This is a gay/lesbian and all genders event and for those who are friendly and want to come out and support and have a few hours of fun. March 23 There will be a Pot Luck Supper on Saturday, March 23 at 5 p.m. at Forester’s Hall, Clementsvale. Cost is $4 per person and children under 12 are free. Bring your favorite dish and come and enjoy a meal with your neighbours.
