Anyone who wants to get rolling with Christmas pies and handmade gifts should plan a trip to Tupperville.

About 14 vendors will offer up an array of antiques, vintage décor, handmade jewelry, fabulous greeting cards, quality soaps, lotions and shampoos; candles; sewn and knitted items; lavender delights; and even Dough-to-Go fixings for busy bakers at the community hall on Highway 201.

The Tupperville Christmas Craft Market takes place on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. All money raised at the door will be donated to the hall, according to organizer Wyllow Vickery.

“We wanted to do this as a thank you to the community for providing such a great winter market the last few years,” she said. “I’ll miss the community connections I made in Tupperville every Saturday morning.”

Over the past couple of years the Tupperville Hall hosted a winter market after the Bridgetown summer market closed for the season. This year the Bridgetown Farmers Market will be moving into its winter location on November 24, so Tupperville will not be hosting a winter market this year.

“This sale will be themed around Christmas, with festive music and decorations,” she said. “And there’s a new mix of vendors. I think it’ll be an exciting day and it’s one of the first markets of the seasons, so it’ll be one of the first chances for people to see Christmas items.”

Admission is a free-will offering to the hall, she added. The Tupperville Museum will also be open that day for people to visit. For more information on the Tupperville Christmas Craft Market visit the Facebook page.
