Two-year-old Piper Veinot of Wilmot received a special present for her birthday June 3 when granfather Richard Banks unveiled this rocking dinosaur he hand-carved for her. Besides being a unique gift, with about 100 hours of labour involved, the creature has a space in its belly for a time capsule. The first thing to go into the space will be this edition of The Spectator. With Piper on her birthday were grandfather Richard Banks and mother Samantha Banks (shown) and father Cory Veinot. Piper, born June 3, 2010, was an Annapolis Valley Exhibition Baby Contest winner.
