About 20 vendors set up shop on the waterfront Sunday afternoon for the first day of the third season for the Bear River farm market. Plants, pottery, baked goods, photography, paintings, fairly traded organic coffee, and even yurts were for sale under sunny skies and warm weather.
George Sloan provided musical entertainment and was soon joined by other musicians in the next best thing to a jam session. A Bear River cake was cut to mark the beginning of the new season.
The Bear River Farmers and Artists Market runs Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. from May 20 to September 30.
