Greenwood Players

May 10-12 Presents “A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody” under the direction of Chantal Murphy. It’s New Years Eve and Donald has resolved to murder his wife by the end of the year, but she wife, Julia, has resolved to live to see the next year, and confusion and hilarity ensues. Performance starts at 7:30 p.m. in the A.V.M. Morphee Centre, Greenwood, admission is $8.

 

Garden Tour

May 10 Champlain Garden Club's "armchair tour" of the Chelsea Flower Show.  Joan Francuz will guide us through this spectacular event.  7:30 p.m. Annapolis Royal United Church (by the lights) All welcome.

May 10  Dialogue on Gambling, Lawrencetown. A discussion aimed at raising awareness of gambling harms and how to take control of your community, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Library in Lawrencetown. Hosted by Audrey Shields, clinical therapist, Annapolis Valley Health.

 

Celebration of Hope

May 10 Celebration of Hope sponsored by Annapolis Royal & District Unit of the Cdn. Cancer Society at 7 p.m. in St. Lukes Church, Annapolis Royal. Guest speaker is Peter Mallette, Director of Prostrate Cancer, Atlantic. Also featuring the Choirs of Champlain and Clark Rutherford Memorial Schools under the direction of Anne Marie Monk.

 

Evening Service

May 12 Especially For Mothers at Centrelea Community Hall, Saturday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lobster and salad take-out luncheon featuring lobster roll/burger, potato salad, coleslaw, fresh cucumber and tomato slices, pickles, and dessert, all for only $10 per person.  Take-out pre-orders only. Wellness Sessions

May 14 A YW2W program at Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Your Way to Wellness (YW2W) is a free program that helps adults with chronic (ongoing) health conditions overcome daily challenges, take action and live a healthy life!
