Computer Help

Computer help is available on Fridays at the Bridgetown and Area Library. Contact the library for details, 665-2758. Computer help is also available at the Dr. Frank W. Morse Memorial Library in Lawrencetown on Thursdays. Ask library staff, 584-3044, or check online at www.valleylibrary.ca

Lego Club

Fridays Lego Club is held on Fridays at the Dr. Frank W. Morse Memorial Library in Lawrencetown.  For Ages 6 to 11 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. We provide the Legos. Please don't bring your own. Stop by after school on Fridays and build something cool.

Lenten Chowder

HART Fundraiser

Sisters in Steel

March 11 Women’s Day’s events start in Market Square, Annapolis Royal, with Honorary Town Crier Valerie Davis. Free forging demos: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two anvils will be attended by Artist Blacksmiths Becky Little, Barbara Schmeisser, and Alexa Jaffurs. Give your hand a try at this lovely, old, practical, as well as creative, art form.

Hymn Sing

March 11 There will be a Hymn Sing on Sunday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wilmot Baptist Church CFC (Christian Fellowship Centre), corner of Highway # 1 and Dodge Road.  Special guests will be Lisa Selig and friends, Mountain Willows and Thyme--Blue Grass and Gospel Music from Digby.  All welcome.

Women’s Day

March 11  Women’s Place Resource Centre, 228 St. George St., will be open for visitors, as will the lobby of King’s Theatre with a presentation of Women’s Ironwork from the Maritimes, lectures and workshops.

March 11 Come to King’s Theatre from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for performances by Ann Fearon, Karen Robinson and Mel Ferrimond, and harp player Alys Howe. A good will offering bucket provided with proceeds to the Frances Mills-Clements Bursary.

Palliative Care AGM

March 12 The Mid-Valley Palliative Care Services annual general meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Founder’s Room of Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. (Storm date: March 19)

HomeRoutes Music

March 14 The fifth concert in the Tupperville HomeRoutes Music Concert Series is set for Wednesday, March 14 at the Tupperville Hall. The John Wort Hannam concert will begin at 7 p.m. with an intermission at 8:15. Snacks and cash bar available. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Pancake Supper

March 21 The annual pancake supper of Kingston United church, 733 Main street Kingston,  will be held on Wednesday, March 21  from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Delicious homemade pancakes with real maple syrup, hash browns, sausage and homemade pies for dessert.

Writing Group

Murder Mystery

March 23,24,25 The Annapolis District Drama Group will be presenting the murder mystery And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie in the King's Theatre, Annapolis Royal on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m.  Tickets available at the King's Theatre Box Office (532-7704).  A fast-paced and intriguing mix of comedy and drama that will keep you guessing.

Hampton Brunch

April 3 Hampton Brunch Lunch on Tuesday, April 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Featuring Dianna Ackroyd with information on earth-friendly gardening, naturalized habitat, native plants, attracting birds etc to visit and live in your garden, Dianna and the Village of Lawrencetown are the first to be  awarded the Canadian Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat Certification. Please bring along a plate of sandwiches, muffins etc to share. Also a loonie would be welcome to cover the cost of coffee, tea etc. Surprise visitor Taco. Info -- Jo at 665-2424.
