The Municipality of the County of Annapolis will be holding a special committee of the whole session to review the Lifeplex Wellness Centre’s situation on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Bridgetown Legion.
“Council will be discussing options regarding the facility’s future,” said Annapolis County Warden Peter Newton. “Previous meetings have been held to review history, financial information, and consider input from the public.”
The first session was held in July to discuss the history of the facility. The second and third meetings were held in November to review the financial information of the Lifeplex Wellness Centre, and to invite the public to provide their input on the subject. The upcoming meeting on January 13 will give councillors the opportunity to discuss and review various options for the future of this facility.
“The information we have received to date is critical in reviewing the options we have regarding the Lifeplex Wellness Centre’s future,” said Newton. “The establishment’s history and financial input, and, most importantly, the opinion of our residents are crucial considerations when making any decisions.”
The public is invited to attend the meeting as observers. It is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Bridgetown Legion. A snow date of January 14 has been set.
