The Annapolis Royal Lions Club was very pleased to present Lion Reg Ritchie with a Life Membership to Lions Foundation of Nova Scotia at our November business meeting. Lion Reg has been a very active member of the club and is King Lion this year.
November 11 Remembrance Day service in Annapolis saw three members of the club participate actively in the service. Lion Donna Lee Butler laid a wreath on behalf of the Annapolis Royal Lions Club and Lions Roy Hall and Perry Butler, also Legion members, were part of the colour party.
Devan Comeau, a Grade 8 student at ARRA, was the winner of our Peace Poster Contest. She achieved an Honourable Mention at the District Level of judging. Congratulations Devan.
Our annual Christmas Tree campaign is under way. Once again Rob Lawrie, Home Hardware, Annapolis Royal, has found us a spot on his property from which to sell the trees. Thank you Rob, for your continued support.
The annual Children’s Christmas movie, sponsored jointly by the Annapolis Royal Lions Club and the Kings Threatre is being shown on December 12, 2009 at Kings Threatre. The doors open at 10 a.m.
The members of the Annapolis Royal Lions Club wish to send a thank you to the community for your continued support over the year and wishes for a Very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2010.
