The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will offer a Studio Workshop with Annapolis Royal artist Wayne Boucher on Sunday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee for this unique workshop is $100 for AGNS members, $110 for non-members, (materials included) and registration is limited to only 12 participants.
The workshop examines approaches to painting and presentation, use of materials, tools, critical thinking, editing and processes of application to express ideas and meaning through the medium of painting.
Using water-based materials such as acrylic and tempera paint, the objective of this workshop is to create a final work. Drawing and painting materials are included in the price of the workshop. Participants are responsible for bringing a canvas support of their choice to paint on.
In this intensive and vigorous class, participants will work one on one with artist Wayne Boucher, and in a group to critique work and provide a forum for constructive evaluation and progress. Painting experience is recommended.
Wayne Boucher is an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy for the Arts (RCA), and is the 2006 recipient of the Portia White Award for artistic excellence and innovation.
To register, please call 424-5280, or visit the Information Desk at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
