Doctor shortage the reason

The emergency room at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton will be closed from 8 a.m., Sunday, March 11 through to 8 a.m., Monday, March 12. This closure is due to lack of doctor coverage for this time.

Emergency services are available at Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal; and Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. The outpatient services are also available at Western Kings Memorial Health Centre in Berwick.

Spokesman Jan MacKinnon said Annapolis Valley Health is sorry for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
