When residents in the rest of Annapolis County are heading to the polls on October 20, voters in Middleton won't have to bother. That's because only one person filed nomination papers and one incumbent councillor didn't re-offer.

John Himmelman will be the lone new face on council. He'll replace deputy mayor Vera Errington who decided not to seek another term. Himmelman joins incumbents Mayor Calvin Eddy, and councillors Marc Britney, Melinda den Haan, Dan Smith, Darren Boates, and Gail Smith.

As for the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board, there won't be a race there either. Incumbent board member Vic Fleury was acclaimed in school board District 1.
