Expected snowy weather has forced Annapolis Valley Health to cancel this evening's Community Conversation meeting at the Annapolis Royal Fire Hall. However, a similar meeting to look into the future of health care in the area, slated for 3 p.m. at the Legion in Clementsport, will go ahead.
"Annapolis Valley Health is very concerned about accessibility to services for the citizens served by Annapolis Community Health Centre," AVH said in a media release today. "We want to find ways that ACHC can continue to most effectively meet the needs of the community. Part of the exploration of these challenges is to hear directly from community members."
The release said the Community Conversation hosted by David Logie, chair of AVH board of directors and Janet Knox, AVH president and CEO will take place today, February 16, 3 to 4:30 p.m. – Clementsport Legion (capacity 200 people).
"Due to a snowfall warning issued by Environment Canada the Community Conversation for February 16, 6 to 7:30 p.m. – Annapolis Royal Fire Hall will be cancelled tonight and will to be rescheduled at a later date since safety for all is our key priority," AVH said.
