“How green is transportation in Annapolis Royal? What does the future look like?” are two teaser questions put forward in promotional notices.

The conference program is designed to encourage discussion of current transportation patterns and future alternatives.

CAO Amery Boyer says, "This will not be your normal workshop. We can guarantee you a fun format and a fun day while you share your views and opinions about greening public transit and transportation in Annapolis Royal. This is a unique opportunity for decision makers to come together and really shape the future of transportation in our Town — roads, trails, sidewalks, vehicle use, taxi, boating, etc."

Annapolis Royal is one of three municipalities selected by the EAC to host Green Mobility Conferences in the coming weeks with an eye toward incorporating sustainable transportation best practices into municipalities’ Integrated Sustainability Plans and developing a tool kit for all municipalities throughout Nova Scotia.

FREE. Everyone is welcome. Anyone interested is encouraged to contact recreation@annapolisroyal.com or 532-7667 * * * * * *
