Annapolis Royal’s Hillsdale House Inn has received national kudos – again.
TripAdvisor has recognized Hillsdale House Inn with a 2011 Travellers’ Choice Award, placing it among the top 10 B&B's/Inns in Canada. This is the second consecutive year that the inn has been honoured with this award -- and once again Hillsdale House Inn is the only recipient east of Ontario.

Just over two hours from Halifax in the Town of Annapolis Royal, the Hillsdale House Inn was built in 1859 to cater to the carriage trade and has enjoyed a prestigious reputation through to the current day. The Inn has an estate setting, featuring antique decorated parlours, dining room, and accommodation; comfortable covered veranda, numerous gardens, and spacious grounds.
The inn is just a few minutes’ walk from the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, Fort Anne National Historic Site, and the downtown area. Visitors are awed by the St. George Street-scape with notable historic homes and inns, all an integral part of the heritage of Annapolis Royal. Area attractions include the National Historic Site at Port Royal, Kejimkujik National Park, and the Bay of Fundy with its world famous tides.

“Annapolis Royal is noted for its fine accommodations, ranging from large inns to small bed-and-breakfasts,” said Roberts. “We are proud of them all, but particularly proud of the Hillsdale House Inn in having received its second national TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award -- the only one east of Niagara-on-the Lake, Ontario to do so.
