Power Lot Road Bridge re-opened

As of 10:25 a.m. April 7, 2009, the following notices were posted on Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal website. To consult the latest transportation advisories and warnings, please visit the Department's website: http://gov.ns.ca/tran/winter/roadconditions.asp:

NOTICE: APRIL 6, 2009 - Banks Bridge in the Village of Bear River will be closed from 8am to 6pm daily from April 6-9, 2009. The public can call the Lequille Base at 532-2844 regarding any questions. Staff will be on hand to show alternate routes. (Editor: See Update below for some additional detail) - West Dalhousie Road is closed due to washout. The road is closed from Spurr Road, easterly to the end of pavement. Open date is unknown as of April 7, 2009. For more information, call 532-2844.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: - Spinney Mountain Road, on the winter maintained section, closed due to washouts.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: - Power Lot Road Bridge is repaired and opened. *****

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Bank Bridge

The Bank Bridge on Upper River Road in the community of Bear River is closed until Thursday, April 9, for inspection.

Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. A detour route will be marked on Clementsvale Road, Jefferson Road, and Middlesex Road. Drivers in this area should allow themselves extra time and travel with caution.
